With only 7 private villas within our 500-acre nature estate, we offer guests a truly tranquil escape. Our self-contained villas are beautifully appointed with attention to detail. They feature new Italian kitchenettes, super king beds, luxury linen and choice of pillows.

Take a beautiful 2-hour road trip from Nelson or 3.5 hours from Christchurch. Rent efficient hybrid vehicles and we can help you book luxury vehicles and executive drivers for transfers or guided tours to or from the estate.

Fly directly to the estate in a private chartered flight. Maruia River Retreat have a private 500-metre airstrip and hanger.

Treat yourself - to the less worn path - and you will discover a taonga (treasure/ jewel). An easy base to day trip to the West Coast, then return and relax.
